How this site works — LocalFX Guide
How we research and check what we publish: primary sources only, every fact dated, and a clear statement of what we do not do. Information only. Not legal, tax or investment advice.
Last updated: 28 July 2026.
This is an independent guide for people who already trade and who want to check things for themselves. It is not a beginner site, and it is not a list of "best brokers".
The site is new. We are building it in the open, and there is not much here yet. We would rather publish a small number of pages we can defend than a large number we cannot.
Where our facts come from
We use primary sources only: the document itself. A regulator's own notice, a statute, an official register, or a broker's own legal documents.
We do not use review sites, comparison sites, broker directories or aggregators. Not as a source, and not as supporting evidence either. If something only appears there, we treat it as unverified and we do not publish it.
Every fact we publish carries three things: the source, a direct link to it, and the date we last checked it.
When we look for something and do not find it, we say so, and we say what we searched and when. "We did not find it" is not the same as "it does not exist".
What we do not do
- We do not give advice. Not legal, not tax, not investment advice. Where an answer depends on your own situation, we tell you what the official sources say and point you to the official register where you can check it yourself. We do not answer it for you.
- We do not rank brokers. No scores, no "best of" lists, no awards.
- We do not publish legal or tax content automatically. When a rule changes, a person reads the change before anything here is updated.
How we earn money
We earn commission when a reader opens an account with a broker through a link on this site. That is how the site is paid for, and you should know it before you read anything else.
Two rules we hold ourselves to. The commission never changes what we write: if something is a disadvantage, we say it is a disadvantage. And pages explaining what a regulator has published carry no partner link at all.
Risk warning
Trading is risky. CFDs are complex products, and trading may not be suitable for everyone. Past performance is not an indication of future results. You can lose the money you put in.
